My neighbor just gave me a 400 watt power inverter. and i mounted it under my back seat, and i dont want to have to flip the switch on and off from under the seat, i want to put one in my center console on the inside so i can turn it on and off whenever i want without going under the seat. it looks like 10 ga. that came with it, what do you guys think would be safe? because it will be hard running 2 pieces of 4ga. out of a toggle switch all the way back to the inverter :P so im trying to go as small as i can without losing power/causing problems.

how would i go about hooking up a toggle switch to it? do they make 8ga. quick disconnects?

ive been doing some research, i cant find 8ga. quick disconnects to fit on the back of the toggle. alot of people are talking about using relays or silinoids.

Figure out the amp draw of the inverter and use an appropriately rated relay. By using the relay you wont need 8 gauge wires for the toggle switch.

how would i hook 8ga up to the relay? those are some nice sized cables, and i cant find 8ga disconnects.
