bass_stalker Posted November 9, 2011 Report Posted November 9, 2011 that line shouldn't have been energized in the first place, once the lines fall an in line box cuts the power, normally it is set to send three pulses of current, if it detects problems after those three pulses it kills the power until it can be reset, otherwise if maintenance is being done on the line it would be set to one shot where if the line arcs or anything it would kill the power. alternatively if it doesn't have the newer computerized system it should still have switches. if the line would fall it should draw too much current and throw the switch off.
