I am now a proud owner of a DD 9512h subwoofer! This thing is friggin' HEAVY! Heaviest sub I have owned....my question is this. My box is custom made (4.6 cu/ft w/ (2) 6" aero ports @ 35hz) and is made of 3/4" mdf. Being that this subwoofer is so heavy, do you guys think I would have a problem installing it in this box? Would I need some sort of additional bracing or re-inforcement of some kind? Or do you think I will be ok?

Any suggestions on this would be appreciated.

Oh yeah, btw, I will be running this BEAST with my newly aquired DD M3a! Thanks guys!

Definitely reinforce with some wooden dowels. Bracing should help quiet a bit. If you don't, Id bet you will have baffle flex. And that could lead to other things.

This would be my first time doing something like that, so can someone explain exactly where these would go? I'm asuming I would put 4 pieces in a square shape INSIDE the cutout? Any more help would be appreciated...and thanks for the quick reply.
