varietyguy Posted November 12, 2011 Report Posted November 12, 2011 my system is all kinds of messed up. To start out I totally stripped the car and everything is hardwired. Everything was done at once so I have many things that could be wrong. I had a second alternator put on, installed a kinetik 2400 (grounded to chassis) sundown 3000D (grounded to kinetik) and an alpine 400.4 (grounded to chassis) I think that it is my head unit but I would like other opinions. If I turn on the radio my sundown amp goes into protect and I have whine coming through my highs. If I take the rca's out of the sundown I loose the whine but then get an echoing or hallway effect through the highs. While the system is playing and I put the rca's in the sundown it will work but I still get whine. My plan is to go buy a new h/u tomorrow unless anyone else has suggestions. 1992 Mazda 323 http://www.stevemead...323-wall-build/
