Smoove Posted July 3, 2012 Report Posted July 3, 2012 I did that already. drove the 305 with a leaky intake until it died so I could justify the motor replacement. 4:10 Posi rear diff. 2200 stall torque convertor with stage 3 shift kit. the damn thing chirps first to second even when I dont want it to. 2 engine mods to go, Vmax spacer and electric fans. on the stock fuel system, best I can do is 400hp unless I do a marine intake swap. I am also running the summit racing brand short headers with magnaflow full dual exhaust. I can't remember what I paid exactly for the motor I think it was around $2200 And yes I should have gone with the 383 for since it was $500 more. I will say stay away from Monster Transmissions. I dont care how much they get advertised on the speed channel. And since this is a Stereo thread.
