That is because it is tinned for easier soldering, so is the Kicker OFC wire. The XS FLEX is 100% pure OFC strands. The XP FLEX is Copper clad aluminum, electroplated with copper on the circumference of each strand, which is why it is copper colored. It also has 10% pure copper strands in it to boost conductivity.
