mattc3366
hey guys. i got a box design from 412 cvx ( thanks man!) and i wanted to make sure it would fit in my trunk before building so i made a ROUGH model of my box from cardboard. it just barley fit and i think it was made about an inch bigger on the height and depth so it was a tight squeeze. i was thinking of using 2x4s and making the outside of the box with the original demensions but i thought about shrinking the box down a bit just to be safe. i would like to know if my net air space and port area sounds correct for my subs. i have two 12" eclipse aluminums and this will be my very first ported box. heres the link to the sketch up : http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse/details?mid=f6010e8bcee31f6f8ee13340d309183 heres my pic on torres calculator : http://s1102.photobucket.com/albums/g448/mattc3366/?action=view¤t=newsubspecs.gif do the port dimensions look ok and is the box around the right size? planning on getting an aq1200 in a few weeks to power them. thanks for any help! subwoofers - two eclipse 88120s box - 3.4 cubes tuned to 32 hz amps - aq1200 and pheonix gold zx450 New build : 2 obsidian audio 15s same amp 6.1 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz in a civic hatch

kirill007
first link fails. upload to imageshack. Your port area is good, but the NET volume is only enough for 1 12 inch. It's nowhere near big enough for 2 12's. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
mattc3366
Alright thanks man. I need to find a way for these to fit! I've heard areo ports are more space friendly? Is this true? subwoofers - two eclipse 88120s box - 3.4 cubes tuned to 32 hz amps - aq1200 and pheonix gold zx450 New build : 2 obsidian audio 15s same amp 6.1 cubic foot box tuned to 32 hz in a civic hatch
