Remote Bass Knob Help!

Alright guys so i had been trying to get a mtx t1501d monoblock and the bassknob that it accepts is a headphone jack type. So i had ordered one as i wwas getting that amp. Turns out i got the 8100 version mtx amp and it accpets the telephone jack type connection on the end. Can i use my power acoustik bass knob on the mtx amp? They both use the telephone jack. Im not sure if it will work or each company has a differnt connection. Anyone use or try differnt bassknobs? It fits in the amp but i dident get the amp hooked up yet to know if it will offically work. I dont know if the connections are differnt but it fits into place as if it was made for it.

i remember my brother tryin to use a hifonics knob on a mtx, or something like that, it "worked" but didnt sound right if i remember correclty. i personally woudlnt, i'd just get the right knob, and dont use a phone cord lol

Alright. No what i mean is its the phone jack connection type. They dont make the bassknob for it anymore let alone the amp. I was told the amps around 4-6 years old.

Yeah, it won't work. Each amp has different circuitry even though the jacks may be the same. They're designed for a specific poteniometer & resistor combo to be connected through that cable. might actually damage something if tried.
