Team Nemesis-DJ Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 Yes the amp will work fine wired @ .5 .Do you really need to wire it that low ? Quote
hdorre Posted November 20, 2011 Report Posted November 20, 2011 Ive personally seen & heard 2 Sundown 3.5ks strapped at 1 ohm (.5 ohm/ amp). I was also in the car when one of those amps "blew" (on music). After experiencing, I dont plan on ever running an amp at .5ohm in a daily application. Iirc the voltage dropped to 12.8v... but still.. daniel1204 Posted November 20, 2011 Author Report Posted November 20, 2011 The reason I want .5 is because of money I have looked around and like the 3000 does 1750ish at 2 Ohm I feel by doing so I am wasting mobey, but I could get 2x 1500 watt amps and run them at 1 ohm.
