well i just purchased 2 lanzar 1233 optidrive 12's and 2 planet audio big bang 3000 watt amps... i need to know what upgrades i need to do. i heard 3 differnt things today i heard i need an alternator, i heard i dont need an alternator. i need a yt batt and a kinetik batt so my question is can i do a yt batt with a 30 or 100 farrod cap without upgrading my alternator or what should i do because im running 6000 watts contiuous rms...............

well those bb3000.1s do 2400rms each so 4800rms..

a lot of things honestly..

i would start with 2 XS Power batteries, Big 3 upgrade, see how it does then if the voltage drops below 12.8V i would get an alternator is it still drops keep upgrading..

Sounds like someone is feeding you a lot of mixed up bullshit. Those amps wont throw out a continuous 6krms. A cap does almost nothing besides give you a voltage reading. Don't listen to whoever is telling you this.

first and fore-most, you are NOT running 6000watts RMS... Those amps dont do 3k each... Secondly, I would upgrade batt underhood, then run 2 grp 31 in rear. Do BIGIII upgrade, multi runs of + and -.... Ground right to frame after sanding down area. A CAP is useless for your application. Yeah, i agree the first thing you need to do is study some more, those amps probably do about 2000rms each at 1 ohm that's beside the point capacitors are very very small batteries not worth the money at all...

do some more reading theres plenty of information on this site it's very helpful
