I have a Nissan Cube and I want to deaden the roof and i was wondering if it would be effective to put a noise barrier ( which product to use too ) between the roof and headliner for noise and heat. If so would i attach it somehow or just leave free floating and same goes for doing in between the door/body panels.

Adding a noise barrier to the roof isn't real necessary and the results of installing a noise barrier between the headliner and the roof doesn't translate to a whole lot of noise reduction inside the vehicle.

right. i have damp pro and heatwave pro and motor mat pro on mine and i have no noise issues whatsoever. i added the HWP and MMP for thermal reasons but they do help with the sound as well but as jon said u don't get much from the roof anyway.

also trying to fit a heavy barrier like Lux Liner Pro prob isnt the best idea even if it did do its job

theres no such thing as too expensive when it comes to upgrades like that, because imo if you are gonna spend to upgrade then do it correctly rather then be a cheap ass ricer

That's what I was getting at as far as the heat was concerned and if it blocks a little more outside noise that's even better. Did you stick your HWP or does just lay on the headliner?
