I'm trying to figure out what length the precision ports have to be if I used 8 6" ports in a 17.2 cube box. I want it tuned to 40hz. External width is 60.75" External depth is 22.75" I need to know what the height is to enclose 17.2 cubes PLUS the displacment of the ports at the desired length to make 40hz. stevh0 Posted December 18, 2007 Report Posted December 18, 2007 Hey Amatt, my mate dropped off some cheap wood here , none the less its free and i have 2 SOny 12 " p5's lying around that needs a home Since these 2 wont ever ever ever push big numbers .. i need it to make some boom -- somehow ? ??!? Maximum external size im looking at is 15.8 x 15.8 x 32.5 - if my calculations serves me correct thats only 4.6cuft - sadly I dont think im keen on the Crx style idea - ive got a std back board in and it just seems to make alot of noise how low can i tune the sony's? 30hz ? I need this to really boom and travel , any ideas?? give it a go , lets see what we come up with
