But since you already kinda got started w/ the wall idea, subs forward, port forward (either driver side like the db drag guys or between the seats) You could easily push those subs w/ a T1001bd or maybe a T1500.1-I seen some BNIB on ebay for about $400-500 for either one. I was building the wall to keep all the bass up in the front half of the car, and then on the backside have my ramps and wireing all back there.. the wall doesnt have anything to do with the system.. maybe we can meet up one of these days, and i will bring my car, and we can go over a few designs.. and see what we can do i will pay ya for your time.. if you help me build anything.. Yessir.like I said my 1st idea would be subs up, port back. "Glass the tire well, build above floor to the window line, subs up, port back would be my idea." But that would be behind where ur wall is coming together. Thats the only reason I said it like that..as in if I was starting from scratch cuz yea it would be a sub up port back setup and those generally do well in hatchbacks. Making the cabin smaller by using your wall idea would help drive the pressure up as well so it's a 50/50 w/ out building both setups and testing em. Minimizing the air the subs are compressing will mean a bigger number on the TL and having the subs farther forward-even if they are facing up "in theory" should give a better result but then facing them forward would put them even closer to the mic than if they were facing up. So things to consider. The subs facing UP would also mean the subs are primarily loading off of the roof or pressurizing it FIRST and that means that the roof will need to be nice and DEAD as far as flex or you will lose pressure there. The pressure/wave will go straight ahead and use the dash and windsheild as a loading wall and I think that would result in better numbers since thats where the mic will be. A forward firing box would be my idea if you wanted to keep the wall setup, and just go as high as needed to get 2-15's pointing forward, with the port in the middle prolly similar to Pipos port how it contours around the subs perimiter. Picture the 2 subs facing forward, and an hourglass shaped port firing forward between the seats. I think that setup run off a T1001 or T1500.1 would git er done pretty well. Would the wall effect ur competing class? or are you only concerned with bassracing? BTW-if you (or anybody for that matter) wanted to discuss it my AIM is same as SN on here minus the 916.
