99 Jeep Cherokee. 4 15's in a C pillar wall

Recommended Posts

just some good ol xj porn lol. sweet bumper tho cant wait to see it on your cherokee!

I know...I can't wait. I want to order it soon, but my friend is going to be getting a flat bumper + prerunner and we're planning on carpooling down there in his Jeep to pick them both up so I gotta wait for him to get his money and then for them to both be built.

Great build! You will land on your feet I'm sure of it. Keep up the great work

Thanks man. I actually might have a job lined up for me. Another car dealership is going to be buying our old building and start up soon...no date has been set but he wants to be in the building by September. He has already hired back some of the mechanics and salesmen, so I'm hoping he'll hire me back doing what I have been doing.

And as an update, today I did a little cutting on the XJ. I'm cutting into the rear quarter panel interior cubby hole to mount my Kinetik hc1800. I nearly finished, but it got dark quick, and I couldn't get any decent pictures. Anyway, this is what I'm going for. This picture was actually taken out of Bigsix's build log for his old Cherokee...it's where I got the idea.

Mines nearly exactly like that... I'll post pics tomorrow of my version of it

A little late on the pictures, but I've been busy doing better things like offroading...but here you go.

That is just with cutting out the bottom of the cubby hole. I can get more of the battery stuffed into the void space if I wanted to by cutting out the vertical piece in the cubby, but I might just leave it like it is... Anyway, this is how it is for now. I'm waiting on a fuse before I wire it in.

Today I tinted my tail lights, corner markers, and turn signals. I didn't take individual pictures of each lense after each coat...these are just the three random pictures I took while I painted...so I'm not sure how many coats are on them at the time of the picture, but in the end I have 3 coats on the tail lights and 3 or 4 ish on the side markers and turn signals. Orange takes more to tint

And here were the final results. Overall, they are a little bit darker than I expected but look great!

You won't regret it. I love mine. Their dependable, fun, and extremely capable when built right. Heres a pic from this weekend wheeling with my friends

But I really wanna switch it up and take it to the next level soon. I used to run 31" mudders, but switched them out two weeks ago because they were getting low on tread for some street/all-terrain tires. I already miss the grip on the trails of the mudders. I've been searching craigslist and found a great deal on some 33x12.50 mudders. Only problem is...he didn't say if they are for 15" rims and he only has 3 and they are a discontinued tire. If they are 15's and I can find someone/someplace with 1 of that same tire, I really want to switch the 31s for the 33s. In order to fit the 33s without rubbing, I'd have to cut and fold the fender flares, add spacers up front and a shackle in the back, and either get spacers or run different rims (soft 8s) because the backspace on my rims would cause 12.50's to rub BAD.

Of course...everything I just said is me just dreaming about what would look awesome :wackit3:

It would be awesome if everything worked out...but I'm not gonna get my hopes up and even if I could find 4 33s I'd still have to lift, cut and fold, and get rims...so I wouldn't be able to do it for a while. But whatever.

Got it cleaned up today. Had to do some touch up work on the rims from where they were taken off the mudders and remounted on the A/T's...got a little scratched up but there back to normal now. Here are some pictures of the Jeep as it sits now.
