And I wanna know how I would wire 2 component speakers + 2 tweaters to one channel??? And I have a four channel amp. JasonJones Posted November 29, 2011 Report Share Posted November 29, 2011 He's asking if you're going to be using the passive crossovers which are the big blocky things supplied with the speakers or if you are going to be using an active crossover system which centralizes all of your crossover points from one point. And active is what now? active is an electronic cross over i.e a cross over that takes a power remote turn on and a ground passive is a box with resitors and coils in it that run in line with the speaker wire no power needed looking at the speakers you bought there is no passive cross over there is a resitor on the mid and thats it so i would wire your tweets to the 2 front channels of you amp one tweet for left one tweet for right then wire the 2 mids to the back channels 1 mid rear right the other mid to rear left of your 4 channel amp just make sure you front gain is turned down the tweets dont need as much power as the mids do Have you ever had your woofers blown? But from what i learned elsewhere (just the speakers) you can run one pos + to a + connection then the neg - to your - connection then twist the 2 remaing wires together.
