bassINyoFACE
deep fried cajun turkey is the bomb. get yo self an injector and inject the turkey in a few spots with some good spicy marinade or what ever flavor you like really, rub some salt pepper garlic powder and onion powder all over the outside of the whole bird pre-heat your oil to 380 slow drop the bird and keep oil at 350-370 no hotter or colder and cook for 3 minutes/pound for turkeys over 14 punds or 2 1/2 minutes/pound for smaller birds or even chickens let bird rest after cooking for 10 minutes before cutting for juices to flow around and enjoy. pstone11
What he said ^^^ - If you're not a cajun fan, you can make your own injecton solution from melted butter, salt and pepper, whatever else you like as long as it will fit through the hole in the needle. The rub on the outside is for seasoning the skin only, which is the first thing to get eaten here before the turkey even gets carved. We fry 10 or so turkeys a year, and at least three for the neighborhood on Thanksgiving. YUM!!! Quote Check out StoneSounds to see my recent builds.Or look at the Flying White Facebook Page! Penguin4x4
Marinading the turkey in a pound of salt, a pound of brown sugar along with 8-9 quarts of water (got the recipe from Good Eats) for 8-16 hours before frying gave me good results last time; injecting will do basically the same thing. Mmmm, fried turkey... Quote Need To Contact Me? BassJunkie
Look up some good marinades, inject it before you cook it, makes it 200000X better when its injected with marinade imo Quote 1986 C20 Suburban 9 American Bass XFL 15's B2 M1MKII 14v XS Power Batteries Maxwell Caps Acoustical energy is free.
