No it was a different situation but still an accident. I was going down the road, and this jackass was in the turn lane and as I was getting up to him, he decided he didn't want to turn anymore and pulled out of the turn lane right into me. It was raining here so I wasn't going very fast, like 40 mph, so it could've been way worse! He was driving an older Chevy C10, aka a TANK! He could've easily thrown me into the other lanes that had cars in them.

did he pull over and you got everything figured out? It was clearly his fault making an illegal lane change

On better notes, here's my car now. My body shop did great!!!

Yep. It's at the shop now for the estimate. Waiting to hear the cost. It's at least both doors replaced, and some for sure body work on the rear door jamb, plus the rear wheel is dented. So we'll see. I'm guessing at least 4500.00 to 5500.00 somewhere.

I dont even want to know how much mine totaled to be. My body shop is owned by a family friend so he took a bunch out of his profit and helped me fix my other fender and repainted literally 90% of the car. I think the hood and passenger door is the only thing he didnt paint.

Hopefully they do something like that for you as well

I'm kinda hoping they'd total it! Honestly! Then I'd get low blue book on the car, I can strip it, pay off the $5k I owe on it, sell the parts I have from it, and get a new one. My wife an I saw a 2012 VW Jetta Sportwagen TDI this weekend and we both pretty much fell in love with it! That'd be nice!

insurance usually doesnt work out in your benefit. They would have probably lowballed you super hard and gave you 3k for the car or something low like that.
