armykyle1
I got 146.2 from a stock trunk, subs/port back, on 1400-1500 clamped. I think I've got a high 147 now, with the at3000.1 but I don't see a "stock" trunk doing a 150. DJTucker
My trunk isn't stock... ... I double layered my trunk floor with dynamat, there's a single layer on my lid ( my previous trunk had 2 layers, but I broke that bolts and the welds... ) - I just haven't dynomatted the sides of the trunk yeah ( that would completely enclosure it... And I didn't spray expanding foam inside of my lid... ... But I am going to buy a new trunk w/ new bars, get everything welded together ( cause the factory bolts aren't working ) - I might even try " hood pins " and apply them to the trunk ( like racers use for their hoods ) - Just for extra downward force. The system I started having broken trunk problems was with: ... armykyle1
"stock trunk" refers to the subs and port firing to the back, not into the cabin, mini walled or sealed off at all, not the use of deadner or spray foam.... stock trunk still stock TEAM XS POWERTEAM HEAVY HERTZMy build- http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194454-e46-bmw-build-pos/#entry2914134youtube- http://www.youtube.com/user/armykyle1big build starting
DJTucker
I thought you were meaning the trunk itself... ... Well if that's the case, yes - I have a stock trunk... I know I could hit 150 easily if I were to face everything towards the cabin and seal it all off with the same setup I have now * Adding the 150A alt... * ... I already have the box plans for that... armykyle1
having the box setup like that, will most likely cause rear wave interference. DJTucker
Why is that? Everything will be sealed off from rear... ... Or are you talking about the common port? DJTucker
I do like kicker... And yes, I know there's better companies out there - But Kicker hasn't ever done me wrong thus far. ... And 150 from the trunk isn't impossible... Maybe 5 years ago, but no now. And the what's wrong with my baffles? - I don't see any interference happening. .. The lips are only .75" - that's so i can screw onto the 2nd piece of the enclosure...
