SKY HIGH DC MONSTER GMC SHORT VID LINKED TO FLEXING SHOP WALL

Recommended Posts

I just want to make sure I have this straight in my head, I am confusing myself more by reading other comments.

You have each amp wired to 3 subs. 3 D1s per amp would be .67 bridged per amp, or .33 per channel. For those that dont know, the 12k is a 2 channel amp and are not strappable.

I use to run the vcm... in fact the control is still in my overhead console..when it froze up on me at a show and wouldn't let me adjust it..I went with mechmans.... good luck with vcm I hope they worked out the issues... I know a few people still waiting on there's from repair for months

So those are M2's then? I'm sure I could go back and read it again, but I have to admit, I'm lazy today! Sorry! :peepwall: What would you put on 2 M2 15's or 4 - 12's even? I'm thinking I"m going DC for the truck! Between you and CJ, I'm convinced!
you damn right they are m2s lol this thing would have been done a while ago if i had the subs staring at my lol i got them the day before i think it played lol are you talking power wise or just preference on subs?you gonna drive here n get them?

yes power wise. I'm thinking if I go blow through I'm going to do 4 12's, or 2 15's, maybe 3. I'm guessing judging by what you guys are saying a 12k would do the trick for the 3 15's or the 4 12's? If I stay inside the cabin I'll do a center console build for 2 15's or 3 12's. I'm not sure I'll have the money for the 12k but who knows, by the time I'm ready for the equipment, maybe I'll run into some more fundage by then.

yes I'd come up there and get em.

So are you bridged at .33 or .66? When I wired my 12k at .35 bridged it did not like it...of course I don't have much rise..... those m2s are moving:-)...so what your opinion on them? Do they get warm? An your beast for slamming them like that brand new.lol can we say quick break in.... great job awesome build
3 D1s per amp would put him at .67 bridged.

I love my m2s. My only problem with them is that I dont have enough power for them. I have to tune my amp with a -10db tone with the dd1 to get the output that I am looking for and this introduces too much clipping into the system on most music that is not decaf and I get some coil stinky after about 1 full song. I would ideally like to have 3500w of 0db tuned, clean power.Needless to say, the m2s are freakin beasts!

You only have one 12k though correct? I guess we're gonna see a second one coming soon huh?!? :peepwall:

Anyway, I really wanna do the blow through, but at the same time, I'm still a little hesitant on cutting the back wall. I know my wife already doesn't like the idea, but she also said do whatever as long as the truck is safe! Sounds like "I don't care" to me!

So I have to decide what I can fit back there.

Anyway, sorry to get off topic. I'm thoroughly convinced that I'm going DC at some point! Maybe DC subs, amps, and probably like alpine mids and highs or something like that. I also like the 8's you did in the center console. Although if I do a center console build on this it'll be hard to fit it all in there. I'm thinking the subs will take up all my space. May have to do some serious door pods! Fords in the 90's have some decently flat doors! Sounds like easy peazy custom work to me! LOL!

Ok back on track! Thanks guys!

i love my 12s it all depends on what subs you do man when you choose that or figure a budget out id be more than happy to help out.

i cant do a blow through either lol too much cutting i mean its bad enough as is lol but ya that sounds like do whatever you want (put it into the female translator and you get thats  )

ya man do the mids and high or just mids in the doors and have your console to do whatever you want with lol ya those 8s were gonna be the death of me in that console lol they sicked no doubt about that lol
