TheGreatJuice
Im currently running an RE XTX-5000.1 on 2 12" Kicker L7's with a D1200 under the hood and a D3400 in the trunk and a stock 150 amp alternator. When driving i can have the bass flying no problem with no dimming at all. Even when sitting at idle, with the bass up, my lights inside the cabin are the only thing that dims. To run it at idle better, would running a 270 amp alternator help?
datmexicankid
yea your stock alt isnt doing rated idling its prolly doing closer to 95 amps or so and the 250 amp would do alot better at idle prolly like 150 or so depends on the alt you get too

fecupe2001
Have you measured your voltage drops? i don´t think i would spend the amount of money on a 270A alternator if you have those batts and a "2500 watts" amplifier before impedance rise, but that´s just me I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
