well after much discusion between us weve decide to do just a regular ported box 4.5 cubes tuned between high 20's and low 30's havent decide 100% yet kinda sad to see the idea go

Mike I'm doing the build so you know it will be done right. I'm gonna attempt it. I'll do 1.5 cubes sealed in a 2:1 ratio tuned to 45hz. I figured if tys hummer could do it with hds we could attempt it with hdc3s I tried my 18's in a 2:1 and they sucked. I've "heard" that they will work if the sealed side is very large, actually larger then the ported side, but I didn't have room to try that. GL and be sure to post up how it turns out... will do sir hopefully we will have a design on Friday =]

yea our idea right now is 1.5 sealed and 3 ported me and got160s are still kicking ideas around for how we want it done hopefully we get it done by next week im dieing with out beats but we both work like 60 hrs a week hopefuly pics tomorrow when the amp comes in the mail

well a sound wave doesn't come off the cone from the sides it comes off straight off like imagined this >{ is out sub woofer (cone facing left) the sound wave will come off like this {))))) in a half circle and spreads in the same shape it doesn't matter how the woofer is shaped so basically they get louder cuz of more cone are but they have worse sound quality
