I spent alot of time talking to Mike Singer about 4th orders and he recommended 12-16in2 per. I built a mini van with 8 Level 3 15s and tuned it to 38hz with 12in2 per of port and it is down right brutal. Just give it a shot if you can shrink it down and lower tuning. Worst case, you just pull the insert and take it back to where it was. my last box peaked at 33 hz. but ill try it out after i get everything up and playing i dont really care about notes over 45hz i want everything to be low. and you said you tuned a 4th to 38 hz? D-train-13k Posted April 4, 2012 Author Report Share Posted April 4, 2012 okay been a while since i had any updates. i have both subs in now. and forgot to take pictures. they are actually playing now and are pretty loud from what i could do at 10 oclock tonight. im waiting on my crescendo and dayton mids and then itll be time to finish up the door pods. theres the 4.125 im trying to figure out to make all that look halfway decent. but ill figure something out thats the flap where i decided to bring in my power wire without drilling into the truck. worked pretty nicely. definitely got some cleaning up to do though heres my homemade buss bars. did the tapping myself. but like i said. alot of cleaning up to do to make it look halfway organized. any input is appreciated finally the bc2k got some dual inputs coming whenever my gf decides to buy my "valentines day present" haha women.. anyways feed back is appreciated. lemme know if anything you notice i need to do differently or any ideas about cleaning up the wiring job. thanks guys oh btw new bass knob location. the gaping hole above it is the headlights switch location on the left of the steering wheel. i didnt get to hook it up all the way cause it started raining. hopefully more progress tomorrow.
