BooMBoX Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 I'm in the build process right now and I need some tips. I have a 15" Re sex right now in an atrend ported 5 cubes at 32 hz. Im leaning towards going with a sealed so it will blend better with my final setup, 1 15" re audio sex, 2 skar 12" vvx, and a skar 8" vvx. Im tryin to move all this to the cargo bay so sealed is pretty much my only option unless i downsize the 15's box and re tune it. So just looking for opinions on how to set it up, like some of them sealed some ported, all ported, or all sealed. I'm lookin more for sq not a spl setup. Thanks. Starting up a full build log when it gets warmer.
One Way Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 Unless ur Gona run each different size woofer independently on separate frequencies, I wouldn't recommend running different size and brand subs together. Especially if ur tryin to mix ported and sealed boxes in the same vehicle. Just not gona happen. You should try selling what u have now and start over agn with a nice set of matching woofers. Now after that it's up to u if u want sealed or ported. T-line build- http://www.stevemead...e-t-line-build/
RAM_Designs Posted December 19, 2011 Report Posted December 19, 2011 Stick with either the Sex or VVX 12's and run them sealed. Drop all the other BS and run one set of subs in a box that will give you what you're looking for, which seems like a smooth response and the ability to blend with your door speakers.
