Rattling and amp advice

First of all, I have a lot of rattling. I have a 94 Prelude with two 10's only on 500w. It doesn't sound half bad, but the rattling kills me sometimes. I'm looking for a cheap solution to this. No specific place rattles, so I can't be very specific. I can't afford audiowrap or anything of that sort.

Secondly, I'm wondering if a stronger amp would be the best route to make my system hit harder. The woofers are Orion CO104S's. Running a 500w Crunch amp right now and I'm wondering how much power these subs can handle.

what kind of amp do you have? is it 500 watts max or rms?

It's peak, not RMS. I'm unsure of the RMS as I don't even know the exact model. It's not even on Crunch's site LOL.

Rattles can be resolved with putting something behind trim pieces to isolate it.

Cheap closed cell foam works well on doors and other areas where there may be the possibility of any sort of moisture. This can be purchased from most fabric stores or even upholstery shops (some will even just give you their scraps).

Open cell foam can also be used, but I would use it only in areas like the roof and trunk areas where there is an extremely rate chance of it getting wet.

But I would say the main thing for you to do is go through your Lude and make sure all of the trim clips are tight and not broken. When I did my Accord I replaced most of the clips because they were brittle and had become loose. New clips was the best $15 I ever spent.

You mean the door panel?

Also foam would be the worst to use. It gets everywhere and can just vibrate off doors especially. Use some sound deadener, 3M double sided tape on your license plate for now.
