pacoman
I installed a remote start on my car from Bulldog Security model no. RS1200B Series. Everything is finally working just fine except the door lock function as explained on the wiring diagram I am supposed to connect both (lock blue/black) and (unlock green/black) wires to the orange/black wire on the car's BCM. I called the tech support and they said as long as I install an in-line 470 OHM resistor on the lock wire it will work (well it didn't). Now it's after hours and they are closed. Any suggestions??? Q-Bert
I would venture to say the door lock circuit needs a stronger pulse than the bulldog can supply. I recomend 2 SPDT relays wired as such. I had my wife buy a 470k (470,000) Ohm resistor and I didn't even catch it until later. Everything work perfect, almost worth the 12 hours I took to install it.
