donovanl12
Ok I'll try to explain what the problem is: I had a pioneer headunit in my setup and I wasn't getting a signal to my brand new Rockford Fosgate amplifier. The power light was on, the amp was receiving 2 ohms, and no signal. I checked with another amp I had, nothing, switched RCAs, checked remote wires, fuses, everything I could think of, no help. Everything was fine, so I thought it was an internal problem in my headunit, because it was in there when I bought the car, and who knows who did it. So I ordered a new headunit, a Kenwood, and I just finished redoing all the wiring behind the headunit and did everything correctly. I hooked everything up again, and still no signal. I went all through the manuals to the amp and headunit and everything is how it should be. I basically re-did my whole system and it still does not work. I'm getting power to the amp, good fuses, good ground, good power. Headunit subwoofer setting is ON, all correct settings. I just can't seem to find out what is wrong. What do you guys think? HatersGonnaHate
I had the same problem with my kenwood, and I had to go through all the hu settings and find the remote output setting and set that to subwoofer, then it sent signal voltage to my amps. 14dbass
Check for voltage at the rca cables you might have bad cables or the deck is not putting power out of the rca inputs because in is on a different setting. MIKE-2U
how do you know your getting signal through your rca's? check that. that will explain it self. Is the amp getting power from the POWER wire or the remote. Some remote wires can power up amps and they will act like they are getting power when really its just the remote wire. check though. check settings in the headunit. donovanl12
Yes I'm getting power through the powered wire. I swapped out RCAs and still nothing. I'm at work so I'll try going through everything again, I made sure headunit sub setting was on.
