14dbass Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 My car has a unibody and not a frame. I have 2 batteries in my battery bank in the trunk and 1 under the hood. I was just wondering can I run just the 1 1/0 awg positive wire from the front to the back. Then ground to the chassis in the trunk and under the hood. And still be ok with power. Or should I run both a positive and negative wire from the front to the battery bank to get more power. I do plan on running a 2nd soon tho 2001 gmc seirra 5.3 auto 3.73 locked rear, long tube headers, offroad y pipe, duals, cai, black bear tune, 2/4 drop, 22s, rockford fosgate mods and highs and 4 ab hd 15s and a ab 750.1 1995 civic 1.5 auto slower then hell, dropped on coil overs, ex hub caps, 2 12 trunk, have 450 bucks in the car and gets 35 mpg 1992 s10 being bagged, shaved, and small stereo. right now a pile of parts

Big 3 with 1/0 welding cable, dual runs of 1/0 and 2gua F-R DD 2512 D2 powered by Audioque 1200d at 1ohm, 2.5ft^3 ported to 36Hz Boston SX 6.0 comps powered by Phoenix Gold M50 for front stage Silver Flute 8" midbass in doors powered by Alpine 3539 Alpine CDA-117 HU
Airborne Posted December 23, 2011 Report Posted December 23, 2011 honestly, there isn't a whole lot of metal in that unibody that actually touches. Sopt welds and seam sealer and bole/screws hold it together. I would run the ground from the front.
