LR revolver and a beretta old 22 short Had an estimate of 6400 for an alpine/clarion setup dealer said it "should" hit around 160db with the custom boxes he was going to make for me..doubtful with so much area to move but, budget is way below that any ideas on cheaper brands for that kind of Spl setup? really didnt want to try any Boss or soundstorm, thinking Quantum figure around $150 per speaker "$1800 total" and $1700 to power it, first actual big setup for the van. Colt M1911, Staring down the barrel of a .45 will make them rethink more than a 9mm haha. a 9mm bullet may or may not expand, but it is an undeniable fact that a 45 bullet will never shrink. With the performance of modern defense ammunition, the caliber isn't as important as it used to be. and im fully aware of those. these modern solid copper bullets are the trick man. WAY better performance than lead core. since i carry 45, im guilty of carrying ball ammo and even wadcutters sometimes, though im currently loaded up with corbon dpx. Rection Posted December 28, 2011 Author Report Share Posted December 28, 2011 I know that i have gotten some great results from the Corbon PowR'ball ammo... ive tried pow'rball and it just doesnt work as well. the bullets break up way too much for me to feel comfortable with. the biggest advantage to pow'r ball is that it has the same profile as fmj ball ammo, which can be beneficial if you have a 1911 thats a picky eater. here are a couple vids so you can see the difference. ive tested both rounds in 45 and my results were the same as these. the dpx expand beautifully. i shot a deer with them last year and when i dug the bullet out it was perfect. pow'r ball - skip to 1:20 for results dpx - skip to 1:18 for results Owner of BigAss Ports Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
