will77530
there is a program called audacity you import the file into the program go to view and then clipping all the red is clipped signal
Toofast4u
Download the newest beta version of Audacity. Throw a song on it, and somewhere in one of the top bars click on "show clipping." You can also throw a LPF or HPF on there as well to see where the clipping comes from. Believe it or not most songs clip the hell out of your mids and highs and leave your woofers alone.

Toofast4u
When you say the amp turns red are you talking about the protection light?
SQMonte
You could also play the song in Windows media player, right click anywhere in the program and go to visualizations/waves and bars/scope and watch the waves....if you see one that looks like a plateau, it's clipped. matt14
clipping? Buy a DD-1 If the song you are using is clipped to shit, then it wont matter if you have it tuned with the DD1 or not, it will clip. I usually download all my music from itunes or from the CD itself.
