I'm just not sure how I would wire them or what would be the best way to power them. Selenium 8W4P8 I'm thinking of getting them soon, to give me something to do during winter. Do some researching otherwise you will be less then happy with the results. If set up properly and given decent power the Seleniums can be very loud and clean sounding... I think he is looking for some midbass... and these would provide very clean midbass if properly crossed over. mlstrass Posted December 27, 2011 Report Share Posted December 27, 2011 The selenium 8's are a PA midrange and will provide no midbass with the proper HPF on them. I have several in my set up... If you want midbass then don't look at PA stuff. If you want to get very loud then PA is your answer and yes you'll need to set up a bandpass xover for the mids...
