Parentnoia
Just out of the blue today, the heater fan just stopped working. I get hot and cold air out if the vents but with no force behind it. I've checked all of the fuses and all are good. The car is a 97 Ford Escort 2.0L SOHC. CHEVY4X4BLAZER
Did you inspect the connection to the fan itself?

Parentnoia
It's done this before too. Crapped out one afternoon. Few weeks later it popped on again. But right now it's too cold for my daughter to just tough it out when we take her with us to the store. Quote 1999 GMC Suburban SLTNo system planned just yet. Look at "hate" spelled backwards. Rebel4055
I don't know if they changed the setup between escorts but on my 96 LX I had to solder in a new connector. The connector it self sometimes overloads and burns up the connection. Location on mine was under the passenger side dash. Really easy to access. People like to kick their feet up into that part of the dash too. Edited December 28, 2011 by Rebel4055 Quote Rest In Peace mother. Mad_Mike
No clue where to look for that. Locate your blower motor, and if you have a voltmeter, test for voltage at it. If you're getting voltage, the fan is probably done for and you need another. If you need help locating the blower motor for your car, I can check my chilton pro account and help you out. Parentnoia
@rebel, I'll check next time I'm in the car. @saver, will a test light do? @mike, I have a Chilton book, just haven't looked at it yet, not home right now. A test light will do yes, you just need to know if the blower motor is getting the power. So test as close to the motor as you can.
