load350z
Looking into getting a dc 175.4 instead of using (2) rf power T600.2 to power (4) sets of cdt hd 6.5 components. The components are 4ohm rated 180w rms at hpf 120hz. I already have 2 sets im planning to get 2 more component sets. My questions is will this amp run the mids n high at the rated power required if I get 1 or 2 more sets? And sound good doing it or juz use the 600.2s? SPL Blazer
I can't see why not, as long as those speakers can really handle the 180 watts. The amp should play the four sets with no issues, and adding another set or two will just drop the impedance to 2 ohms, which will still work with that amp. I'm picking up my 175.4 in the next couple months to run 8 pairs of separates. load350z
Ok thanks for the input. N damn 8 sets on this amp? That makes me more comfortable getting this amp. CJ18
I have 2 175.4s in my truck right now. 1 is running 4 sets of AA Carbon Mids at 2 ohms per channel. The other has 1 set of carbon mids on 1 channel and 4 sets of Tweeters on the front 2 channels. The 175.4 will put out 175w x 4 channels at 4 ohms and 250w x 4 channels at 2 ohms. It is not recommended to run this amp below 2 ohms. Shoot me a PM if you have any questions about the amps or need pricing on them.
load350z
I researched the power of the 4 channel. I was asking to see if 4 sets of components was too much for this amp. But I see its not lol. CJ18
The 175.4 is designed to run 4 sets of comps at 2 ohms per channel.
load350z
Hold on u said 4 sets comps at 2ohm per channel...i think im reading this wrong lol. So u sayin it can handle 16 comps? Help me understand plz. SPL Blazer
It'll handle as many speakers as you can wire to it. The only factor you have to watch is the Ohm load you have them wired to. thats why I am planning on 8 sets of speakers, each is 4 Ω. Wiring that many I can take 4 sets at 4Ω each and wire two of them to 2 ohms, then back to 4 ohms when I add the other pair. So I'll have 4 speakers per channel and that amp will be fine with it. Help me understand plz. Yes. 1 set of components = 2 mids and 2 tweeters and 2 crossovers per channel. That is 16 total speakers on 1 175.4. You just have to make sure that your mids at 4 ohm so that when wired together you get 2 ohms per channel.
