Mad_Mike
I current have 3 KFC-3012 kenwood subs and a KAC-9105D 1200w RMS @ 1 ohm amp. I'm going to build a box for the three 12's, and run them all on the one amp which will be about 1.3 ohms all wired together parallel. So they should see about 1100 watts total and like 360 each right? They are 400 watt RMS, 1200 peak. So my question is.. Do you think the KAC-9105D can handle all three subs at 1 ohm without heating up? And kenwood recommends 1.5cu ft. volume for this sub model in a ported box tuned @ 35 hz. So.. if I build a single chamber box with 4.5cu ft, and a slot port tuned to 35 hz do you think it would sound best, or should I go a little smaller because of running them lower than RMS? They are going in my 02 Explorer as a temp until I get my new setup and start that build.. Should I build the box to have the subs toward the roof, and the port toward the back hatch? MrSkippyJ
If the amp is 1 ohm stable it should work just fine.
