OrangeJuiced's Sierra Body Dropped and Juiced (Revived and Tuckin4's)

Try moving the sub baffles back to give the subs about 1.25 sealed instead of 1.7, you can always add poly-fill later to gives the subs the illusion of a larger enclosure. Then take out the center divider. Doing this should give you a 2.3 common ported chamber area. I dont know measurements for port as I dont have a computer.

But after sub displacement in sealed chambers you should be close to the 2:1 port to sealed ratio. You can still use your box you have now, just tweek the baffles and make a new port for tuning.

Good luck, the truck looks amazing!

The sealed portion is 1.3 already. If it were larger i'd totally attempt that. With the new box it is going to be 1.4 per chamber, not following the 2:1 ratio. The new box is a box my dad has used for years. Thanks for the suggestion though, I take any advice you guys give into consideration. Thank you :)

  • 3 weeks later...

Ok guys, been doing some testing with the box and speakers. Tore it apart and tested a 1:1 ratio with the same box. It did sound better. Same day, I took it apart and did a 2:1 ratio, but I only hooked up one sub! :fool: So at the moment that's all I have. Its hard to tear this thing apart being a daily driver. So here are the pics of the redo.

Tight Fit!

Been pulling this box in and out so much I figured it would be easier with plugs

Also did some wire moving and fixing the interior for the blow through. Once I get this box figured out, I will start the center console and front stage.

Moved the stock wiring up and mounted it there

Then put the carpet up and added these factory push pins at each edge of the hole

Then tucked the carpet over the boot, thought it looked clean.

Havent started on the plastic piece yet, but plan on something similar to the carpet so it looks clean. I would like to build a frame around the hole and wrap the frame with speaker grill material, then glass the frame into a center console so all you see is the speaker grill cloth. Still having problems with the box and speakers at the moment. Being body dropped and having the hydros back there makes it hard for a box design.

You guys are keeping this build going. I'm working on the box when I get home from school. I have also started a led lighting system for the truck. I'll upload the pictures when I get home.
