More progress guys.

Got the cover completely cut and shiny. Definitely diggin it

Then made these little brackets to hold the box down in the bed.

Routered the box so they would be flush

Then put a last coat of undercoating along the box.

More work to come as the week goes on. Also trying to buy a 270 amp alt.

okay so here they are....

Designed, cut and welded these pieces of metal to the frame of the cover to get rid of the huge clamps they normally use. Had to glaze coat them because metal was pitted.

Then I started taping off the hardlines.

Then primed

Also did the frame for the tonnaue cover

Mixed up base coat and sprayed.

Then Cleared. Same process as always. Just like taking pictures.

Then installed the hardlines.

Then got the box in and bolted down.

Then put the frame back on the cover and on the truck.

Also put epoxy on these and put them on the rims.

Then cleaned up all the hydraulics and stuff in the bed. Including the wiring running to the dumps and solenoids.

And cleaned up the whole truck inside and out for a show tomorrow. Going to take a real camera, not iphone, and gets lots of pictures hopefully in the sun.

Also, DC 270 amp alt on its way. Just got shipped today! Center console is next big thing i'm thinking

So the the countless hours of work really paid off today. Had a great time at the show. Last year at this same show was my first car show ever. And I got the Young Gun award. Well today I placed in the Great Eight and got the Best of Show award! There were over 300 vehicles at the show and it felt great to pull two high awards like these. They were handing out the Judges choice awards and there were about 25 of those. I didn't get one of those are the young gun award, so I figured I didn't get any awards. Then, they called me up for one of the great eight awards and I was ecstatic. Then while all 8 of us were up there the announcer said the best of show was in the great eight, then he said my name. I went crazy. Still in amazement because there were a lot of nice cars there. I took a lot of pictures on my phone and grandma got some with her camera so here's from the show today. Enjoy.
