Blow thru

Okay.. Say I get a design a blow thru for 4 15 hdc3s or IAs or whatever I finally decide on... But if I build it but install my cvrs, air space will still be in recomended specs, will they still sound alright? Which will gimme the time to save up and get the new subs and switch them out.. The box will already be built and ready for the new subs.. Saves me money rather than doing a wall now and tearing it all back out to do a blow thru in 8-12 months

Edit, I was told a 4th order was designed to the speaker specs and would need rebuilt if the woofers changed.. Which I guess I don't fully understand

Laying frame soon.. System has to wait

I really want to... I've been debating on it for quite some time

yeah, we all have budgets. It might not sound optimal, but I don't think it would be so bad as to you having to keeps the subs off. At worst, it might be a bit peaky or dull sounding with less mechanical power handling

Why not just do a quick and dirty ported or even sealed box for the time being to hold you off until you get better subs, then build the 4th order then?

I was wasted when doing my current box and well.. It ended up being a giant sealed enclosure, and i don't care for it.. And I don't like looking at it cuz its ugly..

I learned a valuable lesson tho, don't drink and do installs..

So I'm going to redo it very soon, if it's a wall I have ALOT of trim panels and stuff to brace it to the cab.. And it's ALOT to take back out, where as a blow thru I can change subs and be bak up and running with only a few hours downtime..
