Tuning amp to box frequency

I plan on making a box for a 12W7 and tuning it to 33 Hz (I heard this was a good all around tuning freq, not looking to win comps or anything major). My question is how does box tuning relate to amp tuning? For example, if I tune the box to 33 Hz should the LPF be kept right at or around 33 Hz along with the subsonic/HPF? I'm new to this so take it easy on me lol

i agree with miguels. around 80hz is a good place to start for LPF, you can go up or down and fine tune to your liking. as far as Subsonic filter, you generally dont want it to much lower than box tuning. it is meant to protect your sub from unwanted low notes that can damage your sub. personally the lower i turn my SSF, the stronger my lower notes tend to be, i believe that is due to the 12db cutoff per octave being lower thus it starts cutting freq lower. just listen and set it to where your woofer is in control still. dont want it bottoming out or unloading.
