Anything DSL (att, charter, Comcast, etc) are using copper line(same line that everyone in your neighborhood are using, which slows done your internet speed around the evening and weekends, ONLY if a lot of your neighbors are using the internet at the same time) compare to fiber optic (uverse and Fios) have their own didecated line and no one in your area will affect your internet speed.
