Need Help. Extra Battery Wiring

Recommended Posts

I wanna hook up an extra battery and i was wondering if i had this planned out right: Run the power wire from the battery under the hood to the extra batt in the trunk. Ground the batter in the Trunk. Run positive wire from battery in the trunk to amp and ground the amp. I have a stock alternator and was wondering if i would be doing this correctly and if it is alright to wire the battery's like this.

ok. got it. alright im new to this dual battery set-up but i really need it and can think of one more question. if i were to run two batteries, it would still be at 12 volts, right. it wouldnt go up to 24 or somewhere in between that wouldn`t be safe for my amps, right?
