can someone please elaborate on using mutiple slot ports instead of one?

I used the search button, and didnt really find the info that ive been looking for. I could be wrong, but I dont think torres calc has an option to design a box with more than one slot port. Could someone please explain to me the pros and cons of using more than one port instead of just one port? Id also like to know how to do the math in the designing phase of the box. The main reason I ask is because i love symmetry, and it looks better to me, in my opinion to have ports on say both sides of a box instead of just one.

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated!

If you just want a symmetrical dual slot ported enclosure let me know the sub(s) you will be using and your maximum external dims.
