JWBryant Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 I was at another topic and found just about the same thing and found that they use a lot of port area in spl situations, to be loud at a freq and that the less the port area the better sound quality. I dont know for sure but one thing I know for sure is that if there is too little port area you get "port noise" which can be annoying. Basshead-in-Training

lotus Posted January 16, 2012 Author Report Posted January 16, 2012 ok i measured my trunk and everything and found out that 33 will not fit nicely. so i went down to 32.5" width x 15"high x 25"deep and got 21" of port length for about 35.36hz with 13.7in of port area per foot. 2010 Cobalt LT Coupe Subs: 2 American bass XFL 12s Amp: Crescendo BC3500D Big 3 in 1/0awg 29hz box stinger volt meter 2nd battery Deka 9a31 pioneer DEH-9400BH
