audiofanaticz Posted January 14, 2012 Report Posted January 14, 2012 got ripped off a few too many times I take it? lOl You need some good test tools like a oscope, dmm to test various components. A great soldering gun would be a wise investment (not a cheapo sold at most stores). I know usually if you remove all mosfets from the board, they amp should usually turn on and not still be in protect, if its still in protect then the issue is something besides the burnt mosfets. Lbox88 Posted January 15, 2012 Report Posted January 15, 2012 (edited) You can buy a solder sucker, looks like a big ass needle, or buy a desoldering iron, which looks like a soldering iron with a turkey baster on the back. Class AB amps are easier to repair than class D. And like audiofanaticz mentioned already, the most useful tool IMO is an oscope.
