I am going to be building a box for my friends nightshade 12. It is going to be a slot port but i am very confused on how to tune it. Every length i put in it has a really high frequency. I might just be something. I am a sub box noob so don't go too hard on me

a port that is 14.5x 1.5x 33 w/3 common walls with the box size u mentioned has a port length of 33in are you using the torres calculator? the port is kinda skinny though

yeah I tried the Torres. i wanted the port bigger though. is there any way it could be bigger? And what do you mean by 3 common walls?

its about 3/4 of the way down on the first page of the torres calc. thread, it just means it is on an end or top or bottom and goes all the way across, also there is a box on the calc. that asks how many common walls. i plugged some numbers in there and with that small of a box it looks like any bigger port and you need a port about a mile long.
