Can i Please have some stickers
certifiednut replied to flarobbie's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
the best part is, when cj18 said "ask nicely", he didnt mean ask dc nicely and they might send you some. He meant ask HIM nicely, he is a dc rep, and i would bet that if you asked him nice enough he would have sent you some. -

level 2 8 question
certifiednut replied to certifiednut's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
the m1 motors work with all m2 recones, like 99.9% sure. why dont you email ana, and she will email you back promptly. who, is ana, and what is her email address. and loudpursuit- i know looking at the 2, the m1 has the basket attached directly to the motor, and the m2 has spacers (1/2inch i think) [email protected] thank you, i will email immediately -
level 2 8 question
certifiednut replied to certifiednut's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
there are 2 motor designs, one with just a pole vent, the other has the 6 vents and the pole vent, and the basket like he said might be spaced differently. from what i am reading, the m2 8 also only has 1 motor vent, and it is all the other sizes that got the upgraded motor cooling in that manner. -

this may have been answered before, maybe even 1,000 times, but i can't find an answer that is definite. i have 2 blown m1 level 2 8s on the way. I have read the difference between m1 and m2 is the spacers, and that the 8s didn't get a motor upgrade. (i don't know if this is completely true) If this is true, couldn't i order a couple m2 recones, spacers, and longer screws, and they would be m2 8s. If not, what else is different. Also, could a dealer pm me a price on these recones, d4

Rope Caulk/weatherstripping for sub install
certifiednut replied to zack_e89's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
i like to use the gray closed cell weatherstripping foam, i know you used what you had, but i figured i would tell you anyways. I doubt it makes a difference either way -
Too small for her hole?
certifiednut replied to Tim Lam's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Whats inadequate about the 4gauge? Provides more than enough current for him running at 2ohms. The single run of 1/0 is more than sufficient for his other amp and the BC2k. Please explain..and provide the math... Also... Just so people dont misinterpret my suggestion. Im not saying run the bc2k at 1ohm on 4gauge. Definitely will need the 0/1....and yeah overkill electrical is ALWAYS nice. But the simple fact is....he asked if he can get away with the 4gauge. The answer is yes...its more than adequate to supply the 100amps or so that he is going to need. His setup is adequate with the 0/1 to the distro block and 8gauge to the other amplifer. Not overkill but enough. You dont need a bunch of runs of 0/1 for every install. Is overkill electrical nice to have?yes....Is it necessary? No /thread -
That looks interesting. I might just have to build that

Bass Knob or No bass knob?
certifiednut replied to viper1315's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
lc-1 i use them in 3 cars, i love them -
i like to mark out my wood, then cut the big pieces into more manageable pieces. I use an aluminum straight edge for really long cuts. Then i use the table saw for everything else.

if it is a 4" precision port, it should be 1 inch longer total than what you came up with on torres or wherever
