BillKessel Posted January 24, 2012 Report Posted January 24, 2012 I have two JL w6's both subs make a scratchy noise when you push them in by hand, and when they play they kind of stink but faintly... does this mean there most likely on there way out even though there only a few weeks old (3 weeks tops)

But the JL authorized dealer said due to owning a jeep with an alternator barley strong enough to power my lights there only getting about 400 watts each ?? This is a major bummer because i spent 550 dollars per sub on something that does not impress me at all >.< haha

I have 2 w6's that I bought online and had installed in a custom enclosure that a jl authorized dealer built for me. I swear they built the box a little too small cause I know they can sound better than what they do now. But they insist that everything was built to spec. Ugh I hate mainstream dealers lol.
