so confused

I have been reading all night about car electrical systems and i need some help getting my electrical up to the task of running my amp to its full potential.The amp i am running is an audio pipe 15001d. It will be pushing a single ap-tsvr-15. I have the big 3 done in knu koncepts 1/0 guage wire. I also have a run of the same wire from the front battery to the amp. My car has a factory 110amp alternator. From reading i gathered that for a 1000 watt system you need 124 amps seeing as my car has 110 amp alternator plus some of the power from the alternator is used to run the car that means my amplifier is see way below the 124 amps it should be. Now this is where im confused if i was to add another battery how is that going to help my system because its not going to build anymore power just store it and when that stored energy is depleted wouldnt i be worse off then when i started trying to charge two batterys instead of one? do i need a h/o alternator or just a really good battery in the back? more runs of wire? please help me understand this so i can get the most out of my system possible.

add a second batt and your good my buddie just installed that amp stock honda 60 amp alt and a extra batt all 1/0 and he does ot drop below 12.9 volts at idle never below 13.4 while driving

if you want more yes a better alt will up that voltage more but now your spending big bucks

batts have a ton of storage and your alt is allways supplying voltage so nether batt will drain to a point where it will hurt you and all the times your not playing your charging

what size battery will be good i don't wanna spend more than about 150? also i still dont understand how adding another makes the system better because doesn't the alternator have to take the extra task of charging 2 batterys instead of one now?

im done have fun with that

and with an extra batt if you drain to the point were you have voltage drop it just takes longer to charge 2 batts thats it

but with that lil amp you dont have a problem with that did you read the part where my buddie is useing a 60 amp alt with no problems?

unless your system is drawing power 100% of the time, a battery should store enough energy to survive between the periods of bass. there's a reason people use batteries in a system, and don't run their systems completely off their alternator.

you're probably not gonna find another good battery for less than 150, but check out the XS power group buy thread, there's some amazing deals there.

that battery is more than enough to satisfy a 1000 watt amp. i used to run 1500 watts on stock 70a alt with a kinetik hc800 and i never had problems.
