howelr Posted January 26, 2012 Report Posted January 26, 2012 so im not trying to do a vs. thread but i have a 10" kicker L7 right now on a 500 watt alpine MRP-500 im looking to sell this because i dont really have the room for a large ported box like it requires and i was looking at getting 2 CVT 8's instead. would this be a wise choice/pro's and con's? i would be using the same amp also or if getting a different set of 8s would be better, suggestions?

So I was wondering what would be the advantage that you seek. There are little type Rs that can fit in very small enclosure though.
howelr Posted January 27, 2012 Author Report Posted January 27, 2012 well im looking at just dropping the L7, buying a 5 channel, and buying just a smaller single 8. the l7 box i have is like 1.5 or 1.6 cubes and its just too big ill probably end up with the 5 channel and 1 8" im just not sure what amp/sub to get. i already have good door speakers but they rms at 60
