Craig Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 I'm gonna be putting a system in my 98 explorer and i just wanted to know if there was any tips anyone had, things that helped, problems i could expect, basically anything you wanna add.
Ernesto Posted October 29, 2006 Report Posted October 29, 2006 A buddy of mine had four 15"s audiobahn subs (not sure which model) in a wall and it got pretty dammn loud...Hurt alot of peoples ears in there IMO explorers are good cars for daily driving if you want to throw in a loud system in there
dmanson Posted October 31, 2006 Report Posted October 31, 2006 get yourself a good alternator(preferably a 200-300 amp). a nice long run of 1/0 gauge, a Rockford Fosgate T20001bd and four RF T1 12d2s or 15d2 in a solid enclosure and you'll be good to go, also do the big 3 also. 2-DC 15XLM2 D.7s 1-DC 5K amp (1) XS Power D6500(UNDERHOOD) and (1) XS3000(REAR) 3 runs 1/0ga for power and 2 runs of 1/0ga for negative.
