87regal Posted January 30, 2012 Report Share Posted January 30, 2012 step it up to the 1500.bdcp not much in price difference and at 1 ohm it can put out 1800-1900 watts rms. if you use the 1000.1bdcp then dont wire it at .5 ohms i dont think its stable besides the power difference would be so small it wouldnt realy matter without knowing what subs he is going to get you suggest upgrading power? thats stupid. alaskanzx5 Posted January 31, 2012 Report Share Posted January 31, 2012 and if he is asking because he already has subs that he could only wire to .5 or 2ohm? then he needs to wire at 2 ohm and if he wants more power wich is the only reason for him to want to wire to .5ohms then he would be better off with a bigger amp rather then destroying the 1000.1 besides isnt it the lower the ohm the more heat and distortion? if im not mistaken on that then going to .5ohms would not make sense seeing how he could get the same amount of power at 2ohms from a different amp.
