slaughter Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 So my girlfriend has 2 AA Chaos 12's in her Chevy Cruze on a RF T1500bd @2ohms and was thinking about getting 2 Skar VVXs 12s D4s. The box in the car is 4 cubes I believe tuned to 35. Box is facing forward sealed off. I was wondering your guys thoughts were on this since with the Skars it would be seeing more power than with the Chaos'. Let me know what you think, thanks. Just say no to Ground Pounder Customs. My temp system build log More box buildssome cars do over 170db with one sub, so clearly my two 12"s can do that in my car, with my knowledge too! look out bitches! I'm with captain stupid.

Because switching out the subs would not cost a penny. 412 CVX Posted January 30, 2012 Report Posted January 30, 2012 maybe i misunderstood your first post. but if i understand you correctly you're thinking about switching the chaos' out for the skars? if that's the case i wouldn't do it. the chaos has a 3 inch coil and (i think) the skar has a 2.5 inch coil. wile you might be a touch louder on the meter with the skars (smaller VC, Less moving mass) i doubt you would notice much of a difference if any between the two. it hardly justifies building a new box for them. I would take the AA Chaos over a Skar sub any day, and thats no disrespect to Skar. But the subs are not comparable Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

And the subs would go in the box in the car already.
